Welcome!
Welcome to the website for Delta Zeta's Alumnae Chapter in Columbus, Ohio!
Delta Zeta is an international panhellenic sorority, founded in 1902 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Our national philanthropic partner is the Starkey Hearing Foundation. We also have a partnership with the American Society of Deaf Children. The Painted Turtle was once Delta Zeta's national service project, but has since expanded to all of the SeriousFun Children's Network camps!
Early Delta Zeta alumnae chapters were given Greek letter names from 1913-1922. Both chartered in 1913, Indianapolis was the Alpha Chapter and Cincinnati was the Beta chapter. Columbus, also chartered in 1913, was the Gamma Alumnae Chapter, and was the first Alumnae Chapter established in a location with an existing collegiate chapter.
Today, the members of the Columbus Delta Zeta Alumnae Chapter include native Ohioans and newcomers to the state. Most of our members live in Franklin County, but other localities are represented including Fairfield and Delaware Counties. Our chapter ranges in age from the newly graduated to the retired. Our alumnae also represent colleges and universities from around the nation!
